Privacy Policy — AIdioms

1. Who we are

AIdioms ("we", "the platform") is an English learning platform that uses artificial intelligence to generate personalized educational content. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it, in accordance with Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD — Law 13.709/2018) and, where applicable, other data protection regulations relevant to our users.

2. What data we collect

2.1 Data provided at sign-up

• Full name
• Email
• Date of birth
• Gender
• Income bracket (optional)
• Learning interests (optional)

2.2 Platform usage data

• Proficiency level per skill (Grammar, Vocabulary, Reading, Listening, Speaking, Writing)
• Answers and performance in exercises and tests
• Voice recordings submitted for Speaking exercises — processed for real-time evaluation and not permanently stored; only the result (score and text transcript) is kept
• Text written in Writing exercises

2.3 Technical data

• IP address and device/browser information
• Session cookies, necessary to keep you logged in

2.4 Payment data (sponsors)

Sponsors who purchase campaigns on the platform have their payment data processed directly by Stripe, our payment provider — we do not store credit card data on our own servers.

3. Why we collect this data

• To personalize learning content based on level and interests
• To evaluate pronunciation, fluency, and writing using artificial intelligence
• To allow sponsors to target educational campaigns to the appropriate audience
• To comply with legal and security obligations

4. Age restriction

AIdioms is intended exclusively for users 18 years of age or older. By signing up, you confirm that you are 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we identify an account belonging to a minor, the account and associated data will be removed.

5. Who we share data with

• Technical infrastructure providers: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting)
• Artificial intelligence providers:Anthropic (text content generation) and Google (audio generation and evaluation) — receive the content necessary to process each request, under those providers' terms of use
• Payment processor: Stripe (for sponsors)
• Sponsors: receive only aggregated, anonymized data about campaign performance, never individually identifiable student data

We do not sell personal data to third parties.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Confirm whether we process your data
• Access your data
• Correct incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data
• Request anonymization, blocking, or deletion of unnecessary data
• Request data portability
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Request information about who we share your data with

7. Data security

We use technical access controls (Row Level Security) to ensure each user can only access their own data, and encrypted communication (HTTPS) across the entire platform.

8. Data retention

We retain your data while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

We may update this policy periodically. Significant changes will be communicated by email or notice on the platform.
